Cannabis prohibition laws are some of the last Apartheid-era laws still being implemented and contradict today's science about harm reduction and the medical benefits of Cannabis. The United Nations and World Health Organization have rescheduled Cannabis in recognition of it's therapeutic properties and the high court in South-Africa has found that criminalizing the use and cultivation of Cannabis by an adult is unconstitutional. It would be a missed opportunity for Namibia not to recognize the benefits that Cannabis and Hemp have to offer.
